On Tuesday, Bloomberg announced that Fidelity could introduce their digital asset custody services in March. The report wasn’t denied by a Fidelity spokesperson. This comes just four months after creating the new company that will offer trading/investing services to institutional investors.
As a reminder, Fidelity Investments Inc. is one of the largest asset managers with more than $2.4 trillion in assets under management.
The company had previously stated it is currently building the infrastructure to handle the surging demand for digital assets. Building a secure ecosystem on such a large scale takes time so it is not guaranteed yet we could see them start operating in March.
